I do wonder about some of the survivors ..there is some conjecture that ..are some of the survivors culpable for what happened? You can go down a whole rabbit hole on Reddit. Like the father who left his child there.You have to understand that the child in question was 4 years old and biracial(I understand this, being biracial myself).
70’s America was different though. I never ran into any crap from people ..it’s only been on the internet that I haven run into people that are hateful. This father felt like he could not take his child back to a country where they may or may not have been accepted.Given the way that they died though..He didn’t have a support system which factored into it too.
Another survivor went from one cult to another-one that has been in the news(no, not the one that is based in Clearwater). No, Synanon. Which was just as bad as the People’s Temple if not worse.
