*Watching a TV show where they found a pen with DMT in it.DMT is one of the ingredients in ayahuasca.This is new..would be a new way to take ayahuasca.Vape your way into a vision quest.The closest I get to a vision quest is when I take NyQuil,lol.

Bar Rescue had an episode where the owner of the bar/bowling alley had never drank alcohol.Mormon-this was in Idaho-at first I thought they said Ohio!Makes sense as Idaho is close to Utah(Mormon central!) but there are several BYU satellite campuses in Idaho.Fun fact:The Winter Olympics are going to be in Salt Lake City again in 2034)

So the other day I bought a ton of the Pumpkin Spice Cake from the Nespresso website.It’s a seasonal thing and something I look forwards to every time they start selling it.) And it IS delicious AND it is well worth the wait!

Here’s the interesting part: I was on the SanDiegoVille website and there was a flood there with “brown water” flooding part of the mall.The part of the mall that got flooded was right where the Nespresso boutique is.Made me REAL glad that I bought my coffee online!The article on SanDiegoVille mentioned that UTC has been remodeled and expanded over the years. Can confirm that-it looks nothing like the mall that I would go to as a teenager.There are very few tenants that have been long term(one that comes right to mind is Victoria’s Secret. )

 1) Our weather people did a half and half job trying to predict our recent weather.Trying to predict it several weeks out is insane.

Warm food and clothes have been my thing lately(I LOVE my warm socks.)

2(My former neighbours were visiting.

I got to go out to brunch with my brother and nephew at a new TexMex place.I had  Frito pie and a frozen Paloma(grapefruit and tequila.)

NCIS is starting up again this week(tonight actually.)Can’t wait.

Parents went to Dallas and my ant made a muffuletta sandwich and sent it home with them so that’s. What we are having for dinner tonight.

3)Last night’s dream was that I was hanging out at a record store that was on the bottom floor of an office building, It was a HUGE store but SO disorganised  because I could not find anything that I was looking  for. Eventually I just left without buying anything .

The situation in Israel is heartbreaking.

I wouldn’t say that I am going to become more warm and fuzzy-I will still bring the snark once in a while but on certain things it has gotten quieter so I’ve decided that I am going to focus on other things for a while.


Cruise Critic specifically. Going back to Israel..I am…I don’t really have a word to describe it but “heartened” would be the closest thing to it, that people whose cruises are going to Israel(well, they’re not now, obviously) are not upset(I have seen people complain about missing ports because they booked the cruise for that port specifically .In the case of Israel, if you complain about got being able to go there you are the worst person ever.Harsh?I don’t think so.)

And yes, this is on the wrong day but eh.I like to change things up every so often .

*Big news-I am going to Denver next month!SO excited!

*They came up with a name for the weather we’ve been having lately..”Graypril”. Love it.

*Favourite gelato flavours at the gelato place near my house?Bacio(hazelnut) and tiramisu with bits of ladyfinger cake in.They also have a strawberry cheesecake gelato that has bits of graham cracker crust in. It’s also delicious.

*Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Andrea Boccelii are going to be playing at the coronation concert for King Charles(still feels weird to write that months later…)

*Today is the 28th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.Hard to believe.

*Watched Gorillaz at Coachella via YouTube and was waiting for them to play Clint Eastwood..which they did, at the very last,right before I had to go to bed(I have a self imposed bedtime anymore depending on how much I need to do the next day.Sometimes 10, sometimes 11.)

*Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been interesting so far this season. The ship ‘s engine up and quit working Charter guest:Shouldn’t you have checked that before hand?Yes, fair comment but also, the charter guests?(Putting this behind a cut because it’s TMI.)

Life with Favour who is one of my YouTube love/hate watches is back with vlogs where she is at home. Great…more of her secretive stuff and how she can’t eat this that or the other things because it has gluten.

Carbs were the boogeyman a few years ago.Now it’s gluten .It’s almost like she buys stuff she KNOWS has gluten so she’ll have something to talk about. Don’t buy that she is as careful as she claims to be.And in any case it’s becoming much more common for grocery stores and even places like Costco to have gluten free items which are actually pretty tasty.Some of the stuff Favour cooks is a pale attempt at making food that she likes that doesn’t have gluten. Gluten free food is still at the point that vegetarian food was 20 or 30 years ago..Vegetarian food now is DELICIOUS and there are tons of options. Not that I would ever go completely vegetarian or vegan( *maybe* pescatarian ) but I like having that choice(one word:Falafels.)

*Tried a new Indian food restaurant near my house-I will definitely be going there again.Everything was delicious-reading some of the comments on Yelp(which I don’t put a lot of stock in but I DO like to do my due diligence) I was SMH.

*Got an ad for for Spectrum internet.Don’t know if it is available where I live.I do like DirectTV.I tell you: going from Cox to UVerse to DirectTV was a learning experience for sure.One reason I want to stay with DirectTV is because I have HBO and Showtime, among others.

*Mom asked me if Brittney Griner was trans. I said that I didn’t know, but that I was glad we were having that conversation in private because there are some people who are very sensitive about such things(she is not trans.)

*Slept later than normal this morning and am going to have a lazy day.

The message board I have been posting on that I thought disappeared-without any sort of warning-is back, with a vengeance! Not 100% sure what happened but I am with my people again so I am happy.

You have to understand that we have been posting on that board for almost 20 years(yeah,I know, insane!) and we have become close in all that time.Have there been moments where there was drama?Not for a long time, but yes. Generally, though, we agree to disagree. One of my BEST friends there is the polar opposite of me, at least when it comes to politics but we are besties, even so.(We have so many things that we agree on and have in common-we both LOVE Thai food-he got me into several new Thai dishes and I definitely thank him for that!)

With that being said..we were visited by someone who used to post on the board a long time ago.He was banned because of many things that he said, including racist private messages to me. I used those as my ace in the hole when things got so bad that his behaviour couldn’t be ignored anymore.The crazy thing is that he was banned before, but was able to get back in again. But this second banning stuck. Things have been MUCH better ever since.

So the website related to the message board was still up and somehow that person found out that the board was down and he had some things to say, none of them nice. It just showed how obsessed and salty he still is, all these years later. He is banned from posting on the board(obviously) but I have a feeling that he still reads the boards sometimes. He didn’t know that I changed my screen name though but whether that was ignorance or something else,I don’t know(knowing what I know about that person,I am inclined to think that it was him being an asshole.)

The assholishness goes back to when he was posting on the board, and was(and currently still is) a moderator on another message board .He thought that he was a moderator on the board we were all posting on(related to a certain movie franchise which I will not name.) He has certain opinions and thinks that only HIS opinions are valid.Opinions are like assholes. His was LAW regardless of where he was posting.I’m amazed at how long he was tolerated for before he was 86’ed.

*Today is my parents’ 60th anniversary.In this day and age, that is a long time.

*It rained yesterday.Felt like it for a lot of the day yesterday and it DID rain but not for very long and it was so humid after a hour or so you couldn’t tell that it’d rained. Possibly heard a couple of thunder claps too.

*Ordered coffee from Nespresso and it was supposed to get here yesterday but should be waiting for me when I get home(I’m writing this at my parents’ house.)

*Watched a movie called Dawn’s Early Light. It is in the style of The Day After(though not nearly as graphic.).And things go, well, nuclear, a lot quicker, too.

I sat up straighter when one of the characters mentioned that they were a Air Force brat.My dad was a Air Force brat and moved a lot when he was a kid.

The other movie I watched was Spell, which I can only describe is as if Rosemary’s Baby,Get Out, and Deliverance had a baby.Yeah.

*Finally sent my used Nespresso capsules off to be recycled. Two months worth of capsules.Should have counted to see how many were in there!

*Claire Danes was at the premiere of her new movie and the comments on Oh No They Didn’t were about what you would expect. They mention her stealing Mary Louise Parker’s** boyfriend.Wow,long ass memory much?

*Spotted at Walmart:Mac and cheese ice cream.Yeah,that’s gonna be a NO from me,

*Twice now I have heard Head To Toe by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam.Now THAT is an old school bop!

*My Facebook memory the other day was my picture of my hotel room in Rome.The DINKY hotel room!And I would happily stay there again!

*Transplant is bringing it this season.They had a case of a woman who had Lou Gehrig’s disease but was hiding it from her dad(who was also a doctor and who was,well, anal)

New season of Stanley Tucci Searching For Italy. I am so here for it!

*SO glad that I quit watching Killing Eve several episodes ago. The series finale was TERRIBLE.

*My brother and his wife were back East for a combined trip-Spring Break and college tour. They went to quite a few colleges..it’d be interesting if she wound up Back East someplace!That means we would have to visit, of course!

*Holiday storytime:
My dad worked for a company that did buisness in Israel .One of his co-workers was visiting so my mom said “invite him for dinner”. My mom realizes, a bit later that she’s invited him for Easter dinner ..complete with ham. No harm no foul as he wasn’t observant(his wife was a Cordon Bleu trained chef so was exposed to lots of different food and she wasn’t particularly observant either, obviously.
