*Today is Father’s Day and I am making sure my dad is well taken care of!

*The list of things I need to do before my cruise(in August BTW) gets shorter and shorter.I am overly organised.

*I got a haircut which I needed because it is going to be very hot at my niece’s wedding.

*I have been doing lots or cooking this weekend.IOW my happy place.

*Nio Meals On Wheels this Thursday because it’s Juneteenth.

*This morning the power was out at my parents’ house so we got ready and had breakfast near my house and then I did my grocery shopping. The weird thing is, is the lights had been flickering all day Saturday.A warning,perhaps? lol.

*Saturday we went to Old Town Temecula and spent some time walking around(and had lunch there at an Italian restaraunt that my mom is familiar with-meets her friends there.)

*We did TWO routes on Meals On Wheels last week(and will again this week.)

*It’s Pride month y’all!🏳️‍🌈

*My cousin is visiting next month with his wife and 3 kids(we’re going to see them at the end of the month when we go to my niece’s wedding in Oklahoma!)

*Schipol airport is pronounced “skipple”.. not “shipple”. And there is a reason for mentioning that but I’ll just tease you with that..for now.

*The memes that are coming out about Leo The 14th being American are giving me LIFE.

Oh, and did I mention that he *hates* MAGAS?Loved him the first time I saw him and I love him now. He sung at the Mass this morning..he has an amazing voice!

He has quite the list of Catholic propers-went to Villanova .

*Spring has sprung.Getting up before my alarm goes off lately!

*Went by church to say a prayer for Pope Francis(and also for the cardinals who have to elect a new Pope.) TM has been shit posting very day and will continue to do so until the cardinals elect a new Pope and then complain when “his” guy isn’t elected.

*TV I have been enjoying: Beyond The Gates,Call The Midwife,NCIS and old episodes of American Greed.

*My blogging schedule-well,I still will be blogging every day but I might be doing a fair amount of blogging about the conclave(don’t worry:This is not going to become a Catholic Church stan blog.)

*Had some aches the other day.I tried acupressure and..wow.It worked. Not to the exclusion of everything else, mind you.I LOVE (most) of my doctors(as I have said one has no bedside manner.)

*New pictures of Harry and Meghan’s kids..I can't get over how red Lilibet’s and Archie’s hair is-reminds me of my nephew who is a redhead.

*Checked out the Asian Pacific Islander festival which had pan(Philippino and Samoan among others) food as well as culture(dancing.)Wound up going to my favourite Indian restaraunt for lunch.Wanted to go to a Nashville hot chicken place but they were all over me telling me I couldn’t use the bathroom .I get it because of the festival they don’t want everyone using their bathroom but hey:I wound up NOT going there for lunch so there you go.

*Netflix’s Pulse TV show is the Temu Pitt. I watched ONE episode and..yep.

*Twice now I have seen Teslas with anti-E**n bumper stickers.Even THEY hate the guy’s guts.

*Drama at SNL-I thought that it was related to Morgan Wallen-because MAGAS love him.But no.

*My mom’s friend moved to my neighbourhood .They came from where they live and walked around the neighbourhood,wihding up at my house for coffee and snacks(cookies and banana bread.)

*Pope Francis was seen out and about.He was is street clothes and had oxygen tubes in his nose. Glad to see him but he looks ROUGH.

*I gave up potatoes and chocolate for Lent.Sundays are considered cheat days so you bet I was doing so yesterday!

*Spring is here and so are allergies.

*Family are in town and we had my niece’s wedding shower on Saturday!

*Pope Francis is FINALLY out of the hospital.

*Reading a book called The Buffalo Hunter Hunter.I *do* love historical fiction!

*Gene Hackman died from heart failure and Alzheimer’s and his wife died from hantavirus.Oof.Of all the ways to die Hanta is one of the worst.It comes on quickly, you don’t realise how sick you are and you’re dead.Plus she was a caretaker and she was taking care of Gene and that was her main concern, not her own health.

*We had several new people on our Meals On Wheels route.There was a bit of a time crunch because ny nephew had someplace to be, but it all worked out well in the end.Plus, they make sure that you’re not going too far out of your way.It hasn’t always been like that;before we had a binder that,if we weren’t going to one house we would have to go there anyways to avoid getting hopelessly lost.

This was in the days before GPS was a thing so it took a LOT more time but we managed. Then they said there was going to be an app that we would use on our router was skeptical but now, I can’t imagine life without it and even if we have a lot of people-which we hadn’t until this week- it more or less goes well. We have people who aren’t at home, or they don’t want the meals(that happens more than you would think.) One thing Meals On Wheels needs to change is their on hold music. I cringe whenever I have to call their office because it is TERRIBLE. “Screechy” is me being kind. Please bring back the shit kicker country music radio station that they had as hold music.That would be preferable.

*My godson is going to be in town(hopefully his plane was able to leave..it’s COLD where he is!)

*Ya girl is about to turn another year older-on Sunday!

*Managed to read a book in a day and a bit-when something REALLY grabs you..

*I have been loving All Creatures Great And Small.I have been recalling stuff from the original series in the 80’s.

**Points to subject line* I have been trying to get in touch with my cab driver friend .Not answering texts, everything.Hopefully he’s OK but I’m very concerned at this point.

*TCM was showing a bunch of movies with anti-Nazi themes. Resist!

*The number of people that watched the inauguration was LOW.The schadenfreude I got from this. Also, there was not am official record of how big the crowds were.Hmmm. Also I have not watched any sort of coverage of the inauguration which I am very proud of.

*This time of year I think about people who have had losses.And this year there are a lot of them.

*Friday was my niece’s birthday.We went out to eat.There was a woman a few tables away who had been pre-gaming.

*Valentine’s Day stuff is already in the stores(at least at Ross Dress For Less.I wish I could say I was surprised but I’m not.)

*Came home and my DirectTV wasn’t working.Luckily it was an easy fix.

*Hillcrest Cinema is closing,citing the things that have been going on the last(almost) 5 years and people switching to streaming .I get it.
