Misheard lyric:Admiral Halsey couldn’t fight me,he had to have a bath or he couldn’t get to sea.
(When I was a kid I remember thinking needing a bath before you went to see made perfect sense!)
Actual lyric:
Admiral Halsey notified me he had to have a berth or he couldn’t get to sea.
(Berth meaning a dock or a wharf. Given he was in the Navy and fought several major battles during World War I and World War II, it also makes sense.)
