But who started out very scrawny and had bad reflux for quite a long time.

However ,when I was young someone gave my mom some octopus they had caught. My mom looks over at one point and I was eating said octopus-and liking it!So I have been a gourmet/foodie a lot longer than I thought. A few years later I was going to preschool and the lady who ran it offered either pb&j or tuna fish for lunch. Most of the time I was a peanut butter gal.but once in a while I was team tuna fish. I guess I had had tuna fish enough that I liked it, even as a very young child. Never been a bony fish person and chalk that up to the fact that we ate VanDeKamp fish sticks when I was a kid and ONLY those. Also,we would go to a favourite seafood restaurant and get a appetiser of steamed clams, something that my brothers and I all loved.Always been a fan of clam chowder(I know what I like..especially if thete is some grit in the clams. That way you know it is the real thing.

My tastes have definitely changed over the years.I used to not like spicy food but now I do.It doesn’t give me heartburn, surprisingly. You know what does?tomatoes.Go figure! Guess which food I eat a lot of?Yep. There is something called “sensitive”marinara which doesn’t have garlic or onions. Why even bother in that case?😂

Each cuisine has a level of spiciness(some, like Tex Mex aren’t at all..then when you go to New Mexico they put Hatch chilies in everything.Depending, that can give you heartburn.Conversely, I LOVE the heat of Thai food.Thing with that is, one Thai place’s 5 can be another’s 2 or 3. I always go toward the hotter side no matter where I go just to be on the safe side.Or not, as the case may be.Ha!

I do love my combinations(salty/sweet, salty-spicy,spicy-sweet, etc.)
