*I roll my eyes. What is with this thing of wanting to keep HAL in the past so freaking completely? HAL, to their credit, has moved on and has modernised in a big way.And there are some diehard HAL cruisers who don’t like that, and at times will make those feeling very much known. And they get told to cool it, thank the lord.
HAL has its audience and so does Cunard.I’m sure Cunard is lovely, but you pray a PREMIUM for cruising with them. And they are FORMAL in a way that HAL hasn’t been in quite a few years. HAL listens to what the people who cruise on their ships want and ignore the people who want HAL to stay the same and never change and be formal AF(like Cunard) and have a class system(like Cunard.)Yeah, that is going to be a hard NO. That’s why I loved HAL. At the time that we started cruising with HAL they still had truly formal nights and that’s s fine.People who push their feelings about formal nights constantly, yeah…not so much. There were a few who were..how shall we say..obnoxious where that subject as concerned and took pictures of people who they thought were not dressed formally enough on formal nights.
*Are You Listening,HAL?
(No.)
Lots of threads and HAL has never indicated they do.
(Someone posted a GIF of Debbie Downer as a reply and that made me LOL)
I laugh every time I walk by a stateroom door with a Cruise Critic sign on it.They think they will be treated differently.
(They won’t. That’s the short answer to that. I haven’t said this is a while but there is a list of problem passengers and you would be surprised how many of those people post on the Cruise Critic HAL boards.)
