Technically, they are letting dioceses decide what they want to do at their own discretion.)of course one of the places that they are going to continue is Oklahoma City. Not surprised because it’s in the Bible Belt.That’s gonna make the priest at the church that my brother used to go to happy. He’s very traditional and that was a turn off for my brother. The priest was very rigid(much like TM) There are a few places, including San Francisco of all places, that are hubs of Latin Masses(apparently..)
No real surprises, Vigano and Benedict get namechecked (of course..they’re the enchant terribles of traditional Catholicism...the people who traditional Catholics worship..yes, I said worship. Like in a golden calf sort of way. Pope Francis is teh evil because he is “coming after” traditional Catholics. No he’s not.
The whole thing of traditional Catholics being “vilified” is a straw man.No more and no less.I just don’t understand why people want to go back instead of going forwards. Pope Benedict set the church back a LOT and changed things and there were a LOT of people that didn’t like that(myself included.) They like to claim that they are not pushing their agenda but they ARE. And yes, you *are* divisive. Way more than Novus Ordo Catholics. Benedict was not a well liked Pope(though when you go to the gift stores that are right by the Vatican and St. Peter’s they have pictures of Benedict ,Francis and John Paul II(two of them well liked and the other only liked by throwbacks and I’ll let you guess which is which.) They do have some kind of fringey stuff but that’s more for the throwbacks than anything else.
TM wants people NOT to troll but..OK. His cult followers have, in the past, spammed the Facebooks and Twitters of anyone who does something that TM doesn’t like(like kicking a woman out of Mass who was not following the rules per it being in the middle of an epidemic.Luckily,that drama died fairly quickly(I seem to recall that the woman who was involved had a crackpot family member which doesn’t surprise me in the least.) And on a related note:Just because Latin Mass is trending doesn’t mean much.Yes, it’s trending BUT most people couldn’t give a shit. The popularity of Latin Mass is being overstated.

(Ugh.That freaking argument. Traditional Catholics(mostly, and I’m not surprised by that for many reasons) got so up in arms about not being able to go to Mass and being able to take Communion. I don’t have a dog in this fight since I don’t believe in anything anymore.)
