roaming_kate23Tried a new restaraunt-a buffet in San Marcos .They even had a big grill where you could choose a bunch of veggies and meats and have them grilled up.Didn’t do that because there were too many other things that I liked there(I judge a buffet like that by their egg rolls and they were GOOD!)
You may wonder: a buffet? During Covid? But they were taking tons of precautions so I wasn’t TOO worried .You did have to wear a mask and plastic gloves every time you got a plate of food which I understood.
Like I said, not the hugest selection but what they had was good-shrimp!(and yes,I took a lot of shrimp..if I’m paying what I paid to eat there you’re damn right that I am going to have LOTS of shrimp) lo mein, and orange chicken(the irony being that there is a Panda Express right across from where they are. It’s like you could have fake Chinese food, or something that is actually good.
Funny thing is, a lot of the reviews on Yelp are 1 and 2 star reviews and they talk about how dirty the place is and they got food poisoning off of it. Hmm. I don’t put a lot of stock in Yelp reviews because obviously I would go back again . I went there yesterday and..I’m fine!(there are lots of places to eat in the area, some of them better than others..a Hooters for one thing. Fucking Hooters! I’ve been there exactly once and I didn’t like it.
