Wow. So I was 14 when Chernobyl happened and remember it being in the news. The version that we got of what happened and what actually happened is quite a bit different.Of course the Russian government isn’t happy about it -especially when the show is getting so much acclaim.
The biggest wtf moments for me: people standing outside looking at the glow from the explosion with fallout from the explosion falling on them.Lord knows how many people were affected by that. Probably A tie between locals and the first responders who got HUGE doses of radiation and radiation burns from which they died a slow and terrible death.
Also wtf was people from the government being told that things weren’t that bad, then found out things were quite the opposite but yet did not evacuate Pripyat, the town closest to Chernobyl.
