[Popes of one kind..and another]

roaming_kate23It was 7 years ago that Pope Francis became Pope.I remember having CNN on in the background and..all of a sudden there was white smoke!It was thrilling.When we went to the Sistine Chapel they pointed out the roof where they put the chimney that sends up the smoke. Really cool being able to see it IRL.
Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact I am a fan of Francis.He is a reformer.He’s a no-bullshit Pope(not sure what he would think of that description of him!). Hope we have him for many more years.
Now!On to The New Pope!
Wow.What a finish.I kinda sorta had been spoiled for the finale, and yes,I did like it. Voilello as Pope..so much yass to that.And Brannox was able to to his thing in the end, and he got the acceptance he had been wanting from his parents for so long.
Lenny’s look at Esther when he went to free the school kids....he didn’t even have to say “I’m disappointed in you”-the look said it all. Not sure how Pius wound up with Voiello-maybe the next season of The() Pope can focus on Pius although word is that the third(and final)season is going to be a prequel. I’ll still watch even so!
