[Things I don’t like about being Catholic]

1)Sunday School/CCD/godparent classes.
2) Sex abuse scandal(when we went to the cathedral in Los Angeles it was $10 to park in the car park.
Me:”I hope that money isn’t going to pay their legal bills to fight child molester law suits”.
3)Their attitude towards abortion,homosexuality,etc. People know my feelings about both of those things.
4) Old school Catholics who refuse to acknowledge Vatican II and still say their Masses in Latin.
5)On a related note, the Church is not consistent.TL:DR with respect to policy, the way Masses are said.Nobody liked it when Pope Benedict the 16th was Pope and he changed a lot of things in the Mass.I and quite a few other people did not like the changes.Well, they had the Mass a certain way for a while.Pope John Paul II was Pope and was modern in a lot of ways.Then we got Benedict. Womp womp.
6)Catholic school.I didn’t go to Catholic school but my oldest niece and nephew(also my godson) did..and when their family didn’t show up for Mass, they would get a nastygram from the parish priest.Oh yeah, add that in to my list of issues I have with the church.I like the priest at the church near my parents’ house which is the one I grew up going to. He’s from Normandy and our previous parish priest was from Quebec.
