roaming_kate23South Carolina just executed someone-by firing squad.Brutal, but then execution tends o be, however it is done.I didn’t know that any state-other than Utah-still did so. Texas executes a LOT of people
Totally by coincidence TCM was showing Dead Man Walking as part of their 30 Days Of Oscar..I’d forgotten how much that movie formed my opinion about execution(I am anti-in case you couldn’t figure that out.)This is a movie that REALLY makes you think about the logic(or not) of how justice is meted out in this country we call the United States.It’s been that way since before Dead Man Walking and still is. Sister Helen Prejean is a rock star when it comes to being anti-death penalty.
We need more mercy.
