roaming_kate23Pope Francis’ health is not the best, I hope we get a little bit longer with him but as it is we’ve had almost 12 years with him.And he has been a GREAT Pope.The best that we could have hoped for,honestly. I knew from the get go that I was going to like him, and he hasn’t disappointed for the most part.
No, I’m not worried that we will take a step backwards and have someone like Benedict the 16th.Yeah..that was a point in time-and a lot more cardinals were eligible than there are now.A lot of the conservative cardinals have died, or they have aged out(if you are over 80 years of age you can’t vote in a conclave.) I’ve heard it said that we will probably get a Pope who is like Pope Francis next time. Big thing,IMO:They need to choose someone who is a little..younger?Pope Francis was 76 when he was elected ,so not a young man. John Paul II was 58 and we had him for a LONG time.
One of the Cardinals who I am rooting for is Robert McElroy.He was the Bishop of San Diego for many years.If he were to be elected Pope..I’m imagining all of the attention San Diego would get(He’s originally from San Francisco but he’s best known for being the Bishop of San Diego.Maybe he would even come to San Diego.)
