Just finished watching a show called Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix. Based on a true story about a health influencer who led people to believe that she had cancer(she didn’t) and that an extreme diet would help.mind you, she is not the only one with cancer .There are two other women(one of whom goes on a vision quest in Peru later in the series.) The second is a woman with a family history of cancer(and very soon into the show she is diagnosed with cancer-sarcoma-which is so bad that doctors tell her that she needs to have it amputated. She goes down a whole rabbit whole and becomes an influencer advocating strict diets (juicing, organic, etc.) let’s just say that it doesn’t end well for her,or for her mother who refuses to listen to her doctors.
Meanwhile this other woman, who does NOT have cancer has also become an influencer and she becomes better known. This doesn’t go over well. The woman who is a faker..nobody calls her out until much later but you can see suspicion starting to form. And sure enough she gets called out..but just makes excuses when called out.Even her would-be in laws can’t stand her.
The reason that I mention this is that..it is WAY past Booby levels of restricted eating(although there are mentions of trying to avoid everyday toxins in their homes.Just like Booby.)
