Nearly Christmas and it’s so wanky it’s not even funny!
*Portly prefers to “dine”, not “eat”
(Sure she does.)
*Music Wall makes us NOT want to go on HAL
(To each her/his own.)
Going to the younger market
(And that’s a bad thing because???)
Maybe you should sail on Cunard?
(They said it..not me.)
*Kids on HAL ships “unruly” “noisy”/Kids make for a less enjoyable cruise”.
(High key kid hating.)
*And now we get to some dress code drama. Some things never change.
Some people may not have passed muster..but there was a well dressed family.
(Not really drama, the last part anyways but I HAVE seen pictures of people not dressed for formal/gala/dressy night just hanging out on the ship and accompanying snarky commentary.Needless to say that got a few comments(and rightfully so.)
“People go ballistic over appearances with no care or empathy/“Forum bullying about anything to the point of running them off-that’s seen as acceptable”.
(Some people-like a poster who actually lives here in San Diego-have a get together for people who want to dress up.Needless to say he doesn’t get a lot of takers.
As to the bullying:Yeah.Dress codes are something that are divisive among posters on the HAL boards. For people who have cruised with HAL for a while it is like a dumbing down WRT to how “formal” HAL used to be,along the lines of Cunard.
Y’all, Cunard is their own thing. There are people that like Cunard but it’s classic, true formal nights, etc.)Thete are people that like that(and can afford it).Great.But quit trying to make HAL a Cunard clone. Not gonna happen.
