roaming_kate23Apparently whoever gets to the Gerainger port first(and wants to pay) will get first dibs .Of course some of the diehards try to make this about the port hating on HAL and giving them the less than optimum place to dock.
Not the first or last time this has happened-I see it a lot with the sailaways from Ft. Lauderdale, with the diehards complaining about other(inferior) cruise lines’ ships blocking their view of HAL ships.Well, of course they WOULD complain about things like that-that in the scheme of things, just do not matter all that much.There is some of what I mentioned earlier in there too about HAL ships getting short shrift.
Yes, there are a lot of larger ships.The Ft. Lauderdale port is not small(not at all) and that comes majorly into play. It’s not about “hating HAL, as much as some may want to make it about that.HAL is not the be all and end all of cruise lines. The diehards still love HAL, even for all of its faults like ships that should have been scrapped years and years ago getting sold to other cruise lines and now it’s *their* problem to deal with. Also, they don’t change much about the ships-from the pictures I’ve seen they just do a piss poor job of it.We had dinner with a couple who had had gone on a cruise on one of the old HAL ships that had been sold to another cruise line and they HATED it.
