YouTube has some interesting videos.As we have established it is EASY to fall down rabbit holes on various subjects and one of them is diets.Strange diets. Like one of the suggestions was a video of a woman(and her family)pretty much eat mouthing but meat.Eesh.I loves me a steak and I loves me a burger but eating meat 24/7?Yeah, no. See also:Atkins where you wat lots of meat and eggs and not a lot of veggies and fruit. If you’re healthy I think it’s fine.But I would never do one of those sort of diets(I have high cholesterol.. It goes without saying that you should talk to your doctor before starting a diet like that.I’m sure it works for a lot of people but I don’t think you’re meant to be on them for the long tern.
ChubbyEmu who is one of my favourite HeathTubers(and he’s an actual doctor) did a video about someone who was doing a fast and broke the fast with something like 10 pounds of bananas.Yes, you read that right. There is a person who advocates eating bananas in place of everything else.That can’t be good for you(as good for you as bananas are, eating a bunch of them is not going to lead to anything good.)
Then you have the people that do the keto/paleo etc. diets and you’re not entirely sure if they are doing it because it is “trendy” or if they honestly have issues(and there is the YouTuber that I watch that is on a keto/paleo/grain free diet..except when she isn’t(and that is quite often) and then complains when she feels the side effects
So..this is why this is tagged “hot takes”…
