EVERY boss that I’ve had .We’re talking about some serious Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde shit here. I could only take it so long before I quit. I mentioned this before..I saw one of my former bosses out in the wild and just walked by her even though she tried to get my attention.She is dead to me.
The Barnes And Noble clerk who would hassle me.He was short(definitely Napoleon syndrome).I got so sick of it one day I wrote a note and left it. After that I got left alone and he either got fired or quit(not sure which but since COVID there have been a lot less employees(and a lot less customers but enough that they can stay open.)
Now,I’ve talked about this lady before.. she’s the one that I said was kicked out of a local casino because they thought she was a hooker(yes, really.) She had a hatchet face and was ratchet. She tried to tell me that I was ordering too much food and I basically said I wasn’t paying her for her opinion, Saw her at another restaurant in the neighbourhood and prayed that we didn’t get her as a waitress(we didn’t) .Amazed that she can get work elsewhere. I have some theories about that.
A little backstory is needed here: I have been riding the bus for over 30 years.The stories that I could tell..I have enough for a book. The joke way back when was that being an asshole was a prerequisite for being a bus driver.It was THAT bad. It’s rare to get a grumpy bus driver anymore but once in a great while you get someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Sort of related to this(directly related?) was the rent a cop at the transit centre who thought I was hassling someone (in point of fact that person had attacked me.I wasn’t really hurt but it was shocking and I was not keen to have it happen again.Lord knows what she was telling the rent a cop but he thought I was the one doing the attacking.
In any case, one day,I happened to catch him by himself and I let him know what the situation really was. After that I got left alone….he had to explain it to someone(without putting his spin on it of course) and they told him to stop or they heard me talking and put the pieces together(or a little of both.) The rent a cop was on a power trip, no two ways about it.
