[I would love to have had that chance]

*Des ,who has a kid(I remember him talking about becoming a dad but has it been that long?Yes, apparently!) So Des’ son is 2 and a half .Des was asking about going on a cruise-a HAL cruise-with his son. There were a lot of “that is so cool that you’re taking your son on a cruise”. But just as much “HAL is NOT a good cruise line for a two and a half year old”.
That is pretty much typical .There are some that do not want families with kids to cruise on HAL. I hope Des goes on LOTS of cruises with his son.😊
*Lanyards.Y’all, when I cruised, especially the last couple of times, I always brought a lanyard with me.Some people think they’re gauche, but me, I think they are great and keep you organised.
*”Goodbye letter” to HAL which got some interesting replies. It just reinforced my opinion that there are people who have had HAL give them the world and now that HAL has had to cut corners with certain things (which gets blamed on supply chains which is somewhat true, or on whoever is the current CEO(who can’t do anything right .
Then,no priest on cruises anymore.
This comment hit the nail right on the head:
Cruise line is under no obligation to provide a priest.
(But a lot of people mention this as something that they like(liked?) about HAL. Me, I don’t care about such things when I’m on vacation. Also,I’m practically a heathen. Judging by some of the comments I’ve read over the years, the HAL of yore was a time when HAL would get you anything you needed and they still had TRUE formal nights. *eyeroll*.)
