roaming_kate23*The Amsterdam and Rotterdam have been sold(again,I believe.) to Fred Olsen Cruise lines.Fred Olsen did a good job, but there are some things, judging from the pictures I saw, that there are things that mark it out as being a formerly HAL ship.
Familiarity with HAL means that there are some people who will shell out to go on a HAL ship even if it’s not a HAL ship anymore(and there are some that you want to avoid.Like the ships that HAL sold to P&O and were in rough shape when they were sold-and things didn’t get any better once it was a P&O ship-I talked to someone who had been on one of the P&O ships and he said it was BAD. Which didn’t surprise me all that much.
*People who have developed certain HAL ships food loyalties
(Not sure that it’s about one ship in particular but there *are* a lot of people that go on and on about how great the bread pudding is, or the room service club sandwich.Really? My problem with the club sandwich is that they serve it with potato chips and not fries. Flip side of that is that I didn’t get the hype surrounding the Dive In for the longest time and then..I had a Dive In burger.Wow.)
From the looks of most passengers going hungry is not a problem.

(IMO the level of attachment that HAL diehards have to HAL is disturbing.)
Only thing left will be the larger, glitzier ships
(Things change.That’s the short and sweet of it.)

(That must be a pretty spacious room, to be able to fit her bulk, and the bulk of her mobility scooter.Those aren’t small.)
