I haven’t talked about Paul Begley in a while but everything that has been going on in the world sets him off.Bigtime. It’s like ‘chill the fuck out dude!” Mind you, this is the same person who freaks out whenever there is an earthquake.I(quite rightfully) predicted that he would freak out when we had that tsunami watch a few months back.Which turned out to be a whole lot of…nothing(he just posted a video about a rough(sic) wave.See what I mean? There are some people who are just..for lack of a better word, too dedicate for this world.
This is, perhaps not surprisingly NOT a new thing. Meaning that Paul Begley is hardly the only offender.Oh no! It goes back to the radio show Coast To Coast A.M. Remember how everyone was freaking out about the Mayan Apocalypse? Well, Coast To Coast did umpteem shows on the subject.
At LEAST once a week if not more. It dove tails with some of the same things that Paul Begley would go on to talk about including Planet X. That’s a whole post in and of itself(basically some people think that there is a rogue planet that is causing all sorts of problems on Earth. That’s the basic version. At the time/run up to the December 21st 2012 date a LOT of books on the subject were published.I hate to think of how many trees had to die to publish those books. Tables FULL of those books at Barnes & Noble .Probably sold a few of ‘em-there were quite a few people that believed that it was going to happen .
What bothered me was the 2012 movie. Towards the beginning of the movie there is a scene where they show a mass suicide at a temple in Guatemala. The reason?2012. That was concerning. A certain amount of the listeners of Coast To Coast are easily suggestible and would totally do something like that if they had the chance(Harold Camping, the guy who said the world was going to end comes right to mind-quite a few of his followers sold all their worldly goods and a mother and daughter killed themselves because they did not want to live through the Apocalypse. Yikes.
