[He’s doing an amazing job]
Jan. 8th, 2026 07:39 amPope Leo has been Pope for 8 months now.It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long!Seems like he *just* became Pope!
His approval rating among Catholics is 70%. That’s impressive.But then you start thinking about everything he’s done in the time he’s been Pope and it makes a lot of sense. I am among those people that approve of him(and how!)
He’s a very personable person-he loves driving around in the Popemobile and being out among his people. There are even a lot of *non* Catholics who like him(as was the case with Francis and John Paul II.) They also charmed people from the start.My nephew-and-godson said(and I agree with him) that Leo needs to speak up more when it comes to LGBT issues. The kid is *not* wrong. I have trained him well even though he gots all sort of anti-gay programming from going to Catholic school.I did a lot of work counteracting that!
The other 3 percent are conservative Catholics who want the Church to go back to the way it was before Vatican II. Benedict the 16th tried to send the Church back into the Dark Ages .Pope Francis changed it all back when *he* became Pope. Holy FAFO,lol.
