[Buc-ing A!]
Aug. 25th, 2024 04:57 pmWent to a Buc-ees for the first time ever today. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement(*and* I’ve been to the Sistine Chapel!)To They have a little of everything-good(their brisket sandwiches are really good;we didn’t get one because we were going to lunch.)
Home decor, clothes ,picnic supplies, camping supplies..and pretty reasonable prices(I had a bunch of money on me and didn’t really break the bank even though I bought a few things(gifts for family members-my niece and nephews-and a few things for myself including a t-shirt which is one of the must buys when you go to a Buc-ees apparently .) They already had Halloween decorations for sale(not surprising!) and various Texas-related tsotchkes..
Also, since we are in a red state travel mugs with the Gadsden flag(“don’t tread on me”) on them. You also know you’re in a red state/the Bible Belt because there are a LOT of churches.
Lunch was at a place called The Smoky Rose. Had the immersive Texas experience because I had a rack of ribs for lunch.
