Jul. 2nd, 2021 08:34 am*Royal Caribbean has a ship that is being used as a hotel for the people that are doing the recovery for the condo collapse recovery. Very nice of them. Hopefully they’re feeding them, too.
*Portly Princess wonders how certain things are going to be handled and of course one of them is food. She is, as I have pointed out on more than one occasion, a food driven person and she’s not gonna be happy if she is not allowed to have first crack at the food because she is a food driven person and when she needs to eat, it HAS to happen, RIGHT THEN. Because she needs help,is perma hungry and also cruises on HAL all the time she thinks she should go right to the head of the line. Not so fast, tubby.
*Why would you book a cruise when everything is still so up in the air?It’s literally throwing away money and there are people who have done it multiple times which blows my mind...apparently there are a lot of people with a LOT of money to spend and that’s before you factor in airfares and hotels and it gets incredibly expensive. See also: Going on world cruises multiple times(oh yeah..there are a few people who have done world cruises several times or do extended cruises which is insane to me(One of the couples that has done the world cruise multiple cruises is former millitary. Why is this relevant?Because when you do the world cruise there is a fair amount of planning involved. ‘Cause you’re going to be gone for months on end.
Honestly?I don’t think I would do it.The expense, for one thing, organisation for another(though I am someone who is packed for a trip a few days beforehand.This however, is something different. Third, being away from home for..awhile.And ship’s internet is not great ..though you probably get get a personal internet setup which isn’t much better but it’s a thing. I would want to be able to stay *somewhat* in contact with friends and family.
