Thursday, 3 June 2021 08:33One of my suggested videos was about a tornado near Dallas. They had a reporter from a news station standing outside whilst it’s thundering and there’s a tornado warning. And then the tornado sirens go off. Nothing! She’s just standing there like it’s not a big deal!
Where I live, we don’t have tornadoes-what we have is waterspouts which are out over the ocean and fortunately we don’t have them a lot and also we have thunder and lightning but the weather has to be just so for us to have thunder and lightning but when we do it is impressive.The same with hail.The last time we had hail was a couple of months ago and fortunately it wasn’t the huge hail that they get in other parts of the country. What we get is like drink ice hail-not going to do any damage.
For our weather thing I would say it’s flooding-mostly major anywhere that’s low-lying-Dairy Mart Road(yes that’s the actual name) which is close to the border and Fashion Valley-they got that land cheap because it’s a known thing that it floods every time there is a goodly amount of rain.
I’ve told this story before but I was stuck in a flash flood in Oklahoma City.It was the scariest situation that I have been in my life(and I’ve been in a few but that’s a story for another post..) and I needed a drink when I got to safety.
Colorado got a bunch of hail very recently and it looked like it snowed. What might seem like “weird” weather is related to the fact that they are at a higher elevation, and as a matter of fact I remember visiting my family in Colorado in August and going to Rocky Mountain National Park and there was snow on the ground.
