A-MEN. I tell you what,I am ready for this year to end and to start 2021. For many reasons but a HUGE one is happening in January and I don’t think I have to tell you what *that* is!
This year has been.. I’ll just leave it there.I do not think we could have imagined what was going to happen early on in the year. I was able to have a fun day out the day before my birthday(we went to L.A. and hung out there for the day(highlights for me? Well, all of it, let’s be real, LOL) even though it was threatening rain for a lot of the day.
Was having to stay at home once everything(meaning ‘Rona)started and not doing anything fun?Nope.I’m not saying that it was difficult(for sure it was) and there were a few moments..but this has been going on for a while now and I’ve adjusted quite well,thankyouverymuch! It’s been an adjustment as far as get-togethers go, and I think I’ve talked about this before about the canopy-actually canopies-when my dad bought a replacement one for the one that wound up in the pool he bought two! That’s how we’ve been doing things(on Christmas Eve it was just one of the canopies because it was just my mom,dad, me and a friend of the family’s.The interesting thing was that it *rained*.Not a lot but it did!)
One of the biggest things is that I became an atheist .This is almost really worthy of its own video but I’m gonna talk about it here. I just got tired of all the crap-primarily TM. One of the biggest issues with the Catholic Church is all the different factions.And yes, they are factions and they all think that they’re right(but they’re not.) The such as it is mainstream Catholic Church(Novus Ordo, the polar opposite of the Latin Mass which some people insist is..better.) To each their own, you know that’s my personal motto but... If I’m going to go to a Mass(NOT!) imma go to a Novus Ordo Mass.And the people who prefer the Latin Mass whinge about how they have to drive an hour or more out of their way .Okay,I don’t care. Whose fault is that?Latin Mass is a niche thing(even if TM makes it seem like it is the be all and end all.
Not all converts become-for lack of a word- “Super Catholics”-my sister-in-law is a convert and(when they went to Mass) they would go to a garden variety, Novus Ordo Mass(with a Bible Belt twist..they live in Oklahoma). TM lives in the Bible Belt too..it’s like he has to one up everyone else who is in the church.And he has a lot of cult members who will follow him without question.
