Tuesday, 23 June 2020 11:24Trust the fandom troll to take something that is giving us Fannibals so much joy and fucking it up.
But I have to back up for a minute:It was announced yesterday that there is going to be a Hannibal reunion on Zoom!Yes! The reactions on Twitter and online were like “OMG Can’t believe it!” So they are taking questions from Twitter for the cast and crew. I have tried to come up with a question-I have been checking the hashtag to see what sort of questions people are asking. Given that I’ve submitted questions before and not had them answered(actually not true: I had one of my questions answered on the Dinner Party show but that was just Bryan. Still..)I’m kinda reluctant to submit one this time.But who knows? I feel sorry for the person who has to monitor the hashtag, write down all of the questions and then go through all of those and find the best ones!
This is where the fandom troll or *points to subject line* comes in.She usually has her Twotter(lol) account on private but since they announcement of this news she has been submitting questions in the hope that one of them will be picked.Hopefully they know about her and the sort of things that she has been doing for years. And of course she is on her usual thing of how awful the fandom is and about the real Freddie Lounds and how she is a cult leader,etc. Trust me.nobody cares what she has to say.I know,I should not be engaging her at all but if anything was going to get her to start becoming obnoxious and harassing the Fannibals again this would be it.A lot of her posts are directed to Bryan Fuller and I know for a fact that he has multiple sock puppets of hers blocked(she’s so obvious that everyone knows that it’s her when she friends people and says that she is new to the fandom.And now, with new people discovering Hannibal because it’s on Netflix there is a huge influx of new fans and we’re kinda cautious with new fans, but we have to be. That’s something that OG fans can explain to new fans because it might seem like we’re standoffish but we’re not, honest to goodness we’re not.. I have been in a lot of fandoms and believe me, other than a few blips,I have to say that the Hannibal fandom is one of the friendliest and welcoming/inclusive fandoms that I’ve ever been in(and I’ve been in a few fandoms..) so for her to come in and try and fuck with it isn’t so surprising .
