*Orlando Ashford quit.And the amount of rejoicing and “Glad to see him go” comments..let’s just say that I am not surprised and leave it at that.

*Lots of talk about HAL and other lines under the same brand merging.TBH this is the WORST thing that HAL could do. Fortunately there are plenty of people who think the idea is cringe-y(count me among them) or HAL and Cunard merge.There are some diehards that would LOVE that.They think HAL has slipped in a lot of ways and the loosening of dress codes is one of the hot buttons(boy is it ever!)

Surviving this pandemic is more important than bringing back the old HAL
(Right?But no matter how the people who have a lick of good sense try to explain it the more they start with their wanting HAL to go “Back to the way it was”.)

Additions /returns to the days of yore.
(They can keep on pining away because it’s not gonna happen.)

Lots of pipe dreams in the other replies.
(And the usual suspects *cough*Portly Princess*cough*) of course.)

It’s amusing that so many think restoring the libraries and Crow’s Nest should be the highest priority for the new HAL CEO.
(I feel bad for whoever that is.)

I think that people who believe that once Orlando Ashford is gone everything will be back to the “Good old days” are dreaming.
(What I don’t understand is that NOW it has very much became a thing where used to you only saw the occasional comment as such but now there are a lot of comments like that.Probably not that many people but-as usual-the same people are commenting on the thread over and over again *cough* Portly Princess*cough*)

HAL was not making money with their(old) buisness model.
(And no amount of people telling the diehards different will change their minds.Why I refer to them as the diehards.)
