Thursday, 14 May 2020 09:27*Portly Princess has a one track mind when it comes to food.She is a food driven person.Also about “The good old days of HAL”. There used to be a lot more of those but not so much now but it’s making a comeback(more about that in a minute!)
There was a comment about how they got rid of the furniture on HAL ships but there’s still the toilet.There is a mental image I could really live without.Portly Princess on the toilet. I have to wonder if they replace the toilet in her cabin every time she’s on a HAL ship.Given her weight and her dumps,I can imagine the sort of damage she could do to a toilet.
*Orlando Ashford is leaving HAL.I’m sure that his haters on the Cruise Critic HAL boards like to think that they caused him to leave but that’s not true.The amount of people saying that they are happy to see him go..let’s just say that I am not at all surprised.For the haters it is “Good news”...you get the idea.
All of the things that he did that people don’t like are mentioned like changing the Crow’s Nest, no libraries,etc.Well, after Corona, I think not having books is a good idea.Maybe a shelf or two of a book exchange but that’s it.
It wasn’t just Orlando getting shit on, Seth Wayne(HAL’s brand ambassador) comes in for a fair amount of grief as well.Someone said that he was being paid too much to do trivia on Facebook.
*”What should a new CEO bring back?” thread.Which was entirely predictable.
“Library books”.
“Piano players who take requests”
“The “Old” HAL which Portly Princess is willing to pay more for.It’s amazing to me how some people have bottomless amounts of money, and only the best of *everything*. Not hate-it’s an honest question.
*Suggestions that HAL and Cunard merge.Yeah, how about NO. Princess is “beige Betty” to hear at least one person tell it.Not a fan of Princess’ coffee but I liked everything else.
