[When will they get it’s not personal?]
Jan. 9th, 2020 10:21 am*Complaining about other(read:inferior) cruise lines supposedly getting preferential treatment. Not really. It’s about when the ships get to the port.Same with where ships port and when they leave (as in Ft. Lauderdale as an example.)
*Nitpicking:complaining about the forward/aft rugs (that it was a picture of a Pinnacle class ship except the ship it was on was one on the older ones.Really? That is the hill that you’re going to die on?)
Also, crap about the promenade on the Koningsdam being too narrow.Well, yes, if you are, how shall I say this..a larger person, and you’re using a walker or a scooter then yeah.(looking at YOU, Portly Princess)
*Amazing what causes people NOT to want to cruise with Holland America anymore.Like having to ask for straws.Really?
Also, some of the stuff that has been going on with Club HAL(the kids’ club) on the ships. There isn’t a real explanation of what’s going on. It doesn’t affect me because I don’t have kids.I will say that we went on a family cruise a few years ago my nephews LOVED Club HAL and made a lot of new friends.
One suggestion was to try Disney Cruise Lines.Well, that is great if you have a lot of money because Disney cruises are NOT cheap. It’s actually probably cheaper to get a annual pass for one of the Disney parks than go on one of the cruises. I’m not into the whole Disney thing-I live fairly close to Disneyland and I think it’s been at least 10 years plus since I’ve been there(and I’ve never been to California Adventure if you can believe that.) Not that HAL is cheap(there are good deals to be found but you have to be able to just go whenever.)
Related to that: There are people who have done the World Cruise multiple times. That amazes me. First off, it is NOT cheap. And they’re always in suites and you KNOW that’s not cheap. Secondly, you’re away from home for an extended period of time. Third, you have to be very organised(people who do the world cruises ship all of the stuff they’re going to need during the cruise to Ft. Lauderdale or wherever they’re starting the cruise from.) But you accumulate a lot, too(maybe the reasoning behind having a suite?)
