roaming_kate23Fell asleep watching a show about the dybbuk box. There are lots of them out there(which makes you wonder how many of them are legit..however..do a search on YouTube and there are a lot of them out there. And they follow a certain fashion (Hebrew writing on the box, some of them are sealed shut with wax which makes it nearly impossible to open them. Inside they have a lock of hair, a flower, and a object with the word “shalom” written on it(the original Dybbuk box had a object with “shalom” written on it and on the back the Shema(“Hear O Israel,the L-rd our G-d the L-rd is one”)
The first time they made big news was when someone came into possession(a very apt word given the circumstances.The original Dybukk box was owned by a Holocaust survivor.
That. Right there. The original dybbuk box has so much psychic trauma around it(and any of them that have followed in its stead.) Given past history, then, it’s not really that surprising.
(Side note:I definitely believe in ghosts. That’s the abbreviated version of it if you will.)
So when people have opened the box, especially the original one, strange things happen. Health issues-strokes, heart attacks(!)..scary shit. Also smells(most commonly strong cat urine..)
One theory about why this is so intense is that one of the places that the box was is the hometown of the father of eugenics. And his viewpoint became very popular in Nazi Germany . Major connecting of the dots, right?
