[It DOES rain in California!]

I am fascinated by bad weather,I guess. It’s because we don’t get weather that much(although our rainy season is January-April and we get a LOT of rain (hopefully) then.
Thunderstorms, microbursts, I love all of it. And hail. Am amazed at how big hail can get. We get hail but it’s what I call Sonic ice hail because that’s what it looks like.
As I’ll talk about in a minute there are places that will have beautiful sunny weather and then pouring down rain 20 minutes later. I remember a friend of mine talking about visiting his grandmother in Arizona and being there in the summer when they get epic monsoons.Would love to experience one of those.From indoors.
Just the other day Dallas got snow. New Orleans has gotten snow.Not often but they have, and if you’ve ever been to New Orleans that’s hard to wrap your head around(I was there in July.)
My 3 weather stories:
(1) I was at my brother’s law school graduation.It had been raining all day and during the graduation.Afterwards when we were leaving the streets were flooded.And it was still raining.And thundering. Every time we though we were close to getting to safety..we weren’t. Eventually we did get to where we needed to be(my sister-in-law’s parents’ house). My dad: “It’s wasn’t that bad”,
(2) There was a Pacific hurricane(yes, they do happen and when they do we get muggy, gross weather. But this time we got rain.And wind. It was insane.Then,afterwards it was hella muggy.
(3)After out first Caribbean cruise we were at Ft. Lauderdale airport.I guess I was distracted because it was POURING rain(people in Florida be like “That’s normal”!)This was in March and I know it’s a thing to have storms in Florida in the summer). The funny thing was when we were in Florida the first time the weather was nice for the time(before the cruise) we were there and HOT the day that we got back to Ft. Lauderdale.Then it rained while we were waiting to go home.
