More on the(potential) banning of mobility devices:
If a person uses those devices because of age or health they probably shouldn’t be rushing to book a cruise.
(Damn right! Because we all know that cruise ships are floating Petri dishes. And there are people whose main wish is that they die on a cruise ship.
Oh yes.(fun fact: All Holland America ships have a morgue in the off chance that someone dies whilst they are on their cruise. And apparently it does happen. But to wish for that to happen? Hey, if you go on a cruise now(especially one that’s longer even though they’re not happening for any sort of reason you might get your wish. The worst kind of fatalism *and* it makes you look like the worst kind of HAL groupie(there are a few posters on the HAL boards who flaunt their friendships with HAL crew every chance they get ..”They always make sure we have everything we need”.(meanwhile the crew is talking behind their backs about how they are problem passengers. There is a master list of problem passengers and all of their profiles have notes about every time they have complained about something both on the ships and on the HAL boards.)
On a related note there was this:
I had to book a cruise to feel “normal”
(Don’t come crying to me when your cruise gets cancelled again. It is amazing to me the people who have the money to book cruises that may or may not happen. If you did a Venn diagram there would be some crossover with people who say that they always book a suite or a veranda(or both..it’s saying “I’m better than you”. The same sort of people who would book the best stateroom on Cunard and then brag about it. There are people who love Cunard but I know it’s not for me-not that I would book a cruise on there because I’m done with cruising.)
