Thread about Oceania on the HAL boards.
Portly Princess:1 and done cruise .Service was terrible.
(Well it would be after how they wait hand and foot on you like they do on HAL.Lord knows(and I have mentioned this before) she has a note on her file at HAL saying that she is a problem/difficult passenger.)
Took forever to get waited on
(*points to the above comment* she mentioned that she was on a cruise with a bunch of her friends and they all congregate in one of the bars onboard and act like assholes which, let’s be honest:If I were a server I would NOT serve them.)
Service in the MDR was not attentive
(Says you.)
Never able to build a relationship with servers
(I just do not understand the people who NEED to have the same wait staff every day in the MDR. Makes you come off as clingy, at the very least. That and going to a bar and the servers know exactly what your drinks order is.)
Overcooked bacon
(To each her/his own but I like my bacon on the crispy side. *shrug*)
Some of the crew were downright surly
(Occasionally you hear that about HAL crew but that was never the case when I was on HAL ships-they were gracious, and hey-they knew my name which amazed me.Especially given the number of people they have to interact with!)
Oceania has free WiFi
(Which HAL should be doing.Granted, the internet isn’t the greatest because you’re out in the middle of the ocean but on out most recent cruise the internet was SHIT and didn’t work for most of the cruise. I was mostly OK with it..there are times when you need to do a detox for internet..however,I like to be able to get online a bit at *some* point.
