roaming_kate23Watched 10 minutes of the vice presidential debates.That was about all I could take, to be honest.
Managed to get all of my Christmas shopping done.
Just finished a book called Leave The World Behind which is a end of the world book though they never say 100% what caused it(I have a few guesses) and am now reading The Master And Margarita.
Netflix has been hitting it out of the park(apart from the cancelling which they have been doing a lot of..) there is a movie coming up that is about 2 refugees who wind up in England and getting a wreck of a house.But there has got to be some sort of twist because the couple in the story are not allowed to go outside-for one thing. Definitely going to be watching that when it’s available.
I think I know what my first trip-post ‘Rona is going to be:It’s Italy -through Costco-you get a couple of days in each city ,and breakfast every day and transportation from the airport to the hotel, and trains. I am down for that-I did some looking and the hotels that they have you staying in are really nice.
Also,I’m OK with taking trains from city to city-I don’t know about the other cities but I know for sure that Rome has a really good subway system and failing that, taxis(the first time that we went to Italy we stayed at a hotel that was next door to the airport(we even had dinner AT the airport one of the nights that we stayed there) thing was it was far from the city and to do any sort of sightseeing we had to take a taxi into the city .Second time we were within walking distance of a lot of places or a short subway ride if not. Rome is a very walkable city ,there was one day we walked around Rome.Not really going anywhere in particular, just walking!(that was the same day we went to the Sistine Chapel which was a lot of walking in and of itself.You think “well jeez surely we should be close now!” Nope,,another long hallway and another one after that-but I am glad that I got to see it even with so many other people-and selfie sticks which are supposed to be banned in a lot of places in Rome the Sistine Chapel included-around me.
