Watching a documentary about Michael Des Barres..his band opened for Duran Duran back in 1984.
Now,I’ve talked about this before but I could have sworn that a local band opened for Duran Duran the day I saw them which was April 16th.But there was another show the next day which was free(as were the shows in Oakland which also like the San Diego show was tacked on at the end of the tour(a LONG tour which had started the year before!).Glad that I only found out about the second show years and years later because I would have insisted on going to that one too!(pretty sure that the second show, which was a movie shoot was free, like the ones in Oakland and a few other places had been(they were doing filming for several different things which premiered later on that year(pretty quick turnaround I have to say!)
