*Duran Duran are to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this year.About time! They’ve been eligible for a few years,I believe. As a fan for quite some time(almost 40 years-seems like a freaking lifetime ago!) I am so pleased for them.(correction:They have been nominated and the RRHOF people are putting it to a fan vote)

Well, it’s a change from the posts about anti-maskers and coyotes(we have a coyote issue too.can’t leave your pets outside after a certain time of day.)

*Some “Fannibals”(I’ll get to why I have that in quotes in a minute) have no chill.Bryan makes a comment(I won’t repeat it but it was R rated) and quite a few “fans” freaked out.The rest of us see it for what it is:Bryan being Bryan. They can’t handle comments like the one Bryan made?There’s the fandom door. Y’all are not forced to be in this fandom.

Y’all *also* know that I say “to each his/her own”. But the comments made about Bryan were homophobic(he is a gay man).The Hannibal fandom is VERY LGBTQ friendly. Are we quick to jump on anyone who is homophobic ?Yes. With good reason. If you don’t like the thought that Hannibal and Will are a couple, great.There has been plenty said on the subject ,if it’s fan art, or fan fiction .There are some people, I am going to get specific here:The Fandom Troll.She was the OG of all the people that get upset every time someone thinks Hannibal are gay(though that is not the only problem she has with the fandom, not even close. Actually the Fandom Troll has been quiet for a while.Hasn’t updated her website and no updates on the board where there is a thread about her though apparently she has been very active on Tumblr.

*Blog Housekeeping: There has been so much going on that for now, anyways, I am not going to make an official schedule for the week(Cruise Critic will always be Thursday-Friday barring any sort of issues)

*Of course One Million Moms got upset about the ads on the Super Bowl and the half time show itself.

*It’s Black History month so I am reading books about the black experience(both fiction and non-fiction)

1)It rained(and is going to rain again this week)

2)I finished my Christmas shopping

3)Beck left Scientology(good luck with getting your kids back..his wife’s family are longtime Scientologists.

*Today I took the bus to Walmart and when I got on the bus this guy was preaching..good lord.Luckily he wasn’t on the bus long.

And did I mention that my neighbour’s garage got broken into?Whoever it was left my garage alone(I don’t have anything interesting in mine..but I locked the garage just to be on the safe side.)

One of my friends who I haven’t seen on Twitter for a while said that she can’t have gluten anymore.Mind you she LOVES beer.So this has been a bit of an adjustment(to say the least.)

IMO the whole keto/low carb/no gluten thing still has a way to go.I liken it to the early days of vegetarian food when there were attempts to make food without meat..some of them were better than others. Now, though, vegetarian food is as good as food with meat in..if not better(and healthier,too).

Here’s the thing with keto/low carb/gluten free thing:They’re eliminating certain things(white flour, refined sugar, among other things.There are work arounds and some of them are good(like using almond flour which can have a different texture.If you’re suddenly having to o the gluten free thing it’s going to be a huge adjustment(understatement much?). Though looking at replacements they have chickpea flour-if I was going to make something that was going to wind up being more savoury than anything else.
