But today-and I am not sure why-I am drawing a blank. Maybe this should have been a “Random Thoughts Before The Coffee Kicks In” today. *looks at list*.
I will say that I have been monitoring the situation at Cruise Critic and it’s pretty much same-o -the thread about bedbugs is on the second or third page now-I haven’t checked. The mere thought that that could be happening on a Holland America ship sets people off. Granted, there is a long list of things that do that. Thinking of dress code threads specifically here. Time was when the smoking thread was one of the most contentious threads. And there have been flare ups at various times-like when they changed the wine policy and that was just *too much* for some people.
Good lord..there were Change petitions and several threads(at the same time). Mary Louise was one of the most upset by it.Because she was one of the ones that would bring an industrial amount of wine.Like huge pallets of wine. JFC...even if you were going on an extended cruise, do you need a whole pallet full of wine?No you don’t! Last I checked, the word for that was “alcoholic”. You know good and well if you said that to them on the Cruise Critic boards that they would clap back at you.I’ll just day this:The first step is admitting that you have a problem.Yeah,I went there. And I would go there again. Wonder how long after they get on the ship are they breaking open the wine?
TL:DR?I think they had to put the wine policy is place because people were bringing WAY more wine than they needed. Popular opinion is that HAL’s wine list on their ships is not great.Whilst that may be true, why are you bringing So. Many. Bottles.Of.Wine?
