The other day my dad and I were going somewhere in the car and Planet Earth by Duran Duran came on the radio, Cue me singing along. My dad, after a beat: “Is this Duran Duran?” Me:”what gave it away?me singing along?” I’m amazed that he recognizes Simon Le Bon’s singing even after all of these years!

There’s a line “like some New Romantic looking for the TV sound”. On Duran Duran’s concert movie,Simon sings “switch it off” after that line.And that has been a thing ever since!
