roaming_kate23After reading many comments online, I am thinking I may be wrong about the plot of The First Omen. This is going to go under a cut.
First of all no way is Margaret Mrs. Blaylock.Unless she aged incredibly in 5 years, More than likely she is the nanny that killed herself in the first movie.That would explain why a certain phrase from the original movie was played -backwards-in the teaser trailer. Tabs were kept on Damien although they could not have reckoned on him being as much of a-sorry-hellion- as he was.
From the scant amount of info we have so far it’s known that Margaret is an orphan. And speaks fluent Italian. And was raised Catholic.So it makes sense that she would go to Italy knowing the language as she does.
Also, she knows Father Lawrence. Of all the people she could run into in Rome as she is from a small town in Massachusetts. Discovers a ..darkness there.Which Father Lawrence is in charge of.
This was touched on in the original 1976 film but Damien’s birth mother-in this film-is Maria Sciama-Sciama means shadows in Italian .
One comment I saw suggested that since there seem to be more than one attempt at trying to bring about the Antichrist.There is a baby with a 666 birthmark..could that be a character in the films who everyone avoids-because she has a “touch of madness” but in point. of. fact is code for “she is evil as FUCK”.
On Insta the actress who is playing Katherine Thorn posted a picture of herself with big hair which very much looks 70’s style and she looks like Lee Remick in the original n 1976 movie. Not sure how much of a role that she will have..
I’m seeing it the day it comes out and will post a sort of scorecard/follow up post to let y’all know how right(or wrong) I was.
