[Is it any wonder that they run far away]
Dec. 1st, 2019 06:45 pmSomething that I’ve noticed:These super-religious families are seemingly falling apart, with the kids moving as far as they possibly can so they can..basically live their own lives. Lord knows that they have been stunted by people(usually their parents) attempting to keep out any sort of outsider influence away from their kids.
No TV, no internet..and lord knows what they are being taught..I was glad to see that one of the kids from the Plath family was allowed to go to San Francisco and was surprisingly open minded when the city tour they went on was in the Castro district. They asked completely appropriate questions.
The Plath parents don’t allow any sort of leeway with their kids(and their daughter-in-law who they think is too worldly and a bad influence on their son.)
Not saying I like the Plaths- IMO they are WAY too uptight-the way that they deal with their daughter-in-law is proof enough of that.) When I watch, it’s more hate-watching than anything else.
On another note, the Duggars.Yes, a lot of their kids have moved the fuck away-IIRC one of their daughters lives in California and is doing everything she can to live her own life.Wanna know who I feel the sorriest for?The very youngest Duggar children who still have a lot of years before they can move out/move away. Quite frankly I am surprised that none of the Duggar kids have tried to be emancipated so they can live with family members who have moved away. That family is its own self-contained cult.I’d say that applies to the Plaths as well but their family isn’t as big as the Duggars is(they only have 9 kids)
