Halloween in San Diego is a whole vibe and there are lots of different events for whatever floats your boat.
Gaslamp Haunted Tour
Haunted Trail in Balboa Park(which I have bot done but I hear it’s SCARY.)
Legoland(more of a family vibe.)
Scream Zone at the Fairgrounds
Whaley House(one of several haunted houses in the area.)
Related and seasonal:
Bates Nut Farm(and it is a farm!) they also I have a store where you can buy nuts, candy, fudge -which they will give you a sample of if you ask and they have a bunch of different kinds and they are all delicious!)
Oceanside’s Day Of The Dead celebration which happens the weekend before Halloween/The Day Of The Dead.
Julian(two words:Apple pie. And also if you like colder weather especially this time of year Julian’s got you. If you’re lucky you might even get to see snow!)
