TM just cannot give it a rest..and the Lenten/Easter season(which is almost over) makes him even worse. Apparently when it comes to TM it’s “do it the pre-Vatican II way or nothing”. And of course he hates Pope Francis to a level which passed unhealthy levels a long time ago.
He’s..I don’t like the word “fixated” overly much but in this case, it rather fits, on Pope Francis. Everything that Pope Francis does,TM puts under his microscope.
Most recently there was an announcement about Pope Francis meeting with representatives from various faiths in Kazakhstan. TM is like “Oh no, this will NOT do, he is consorting with heretics!”TM, this is not the 13th century. The Catholic Church has modernised, whether you like it or not. The comments on his Twitter and Facebook were exactly what I would expect from TM’s cult members. One of his cult members said that they should invite the people to a Catholic service. SMGDH. There was this, too: “If a Catholic prays with a heretic(meaning anyone who is not Catholic),he becomes a heretic”. Hate to tell you this but I went to a interfaith Seder(at my church hall!) when I was a teenager.
TM has said that he thinks that the Three Days Of Darkness may happen during the Easter season.(a short explanation follows)
The 3 Days is a weird Catholic belief that there is going to be a chastisement and it will be extremely cold and the only thing that will give light is blessed beeswax candles. Also, if you go outside, you will die.On the fucking spot.
Sedevacantists(people that don’t believe that Pope Francis is the Pope) hope that a “true” Pope is designated during this time. Yeah, they can keep on hoping.
I remember going to a Catholic bookstore back in the day and, whilst they didn’t say it outright, it was obvious that they had a esoteric bent, as a lot of the books had to do with the end of the world .Not really a Catholic teaching but there are some segments of the Catholic Church that believe in this, and believe in it wholeheartedly, just like some evangelicals believe in the Rapture.
TL:DR? Either you do something to the letter of(canon) law or don’t do it at all. It’s REALLY fucking extreme .Not even going to try and understand why people want to go back to doing things the way they were in “the old days”
Finally, there was this gem:
“I love Mel Gibson’s Passion Of The Christ”
(Yes,you love the view it gives of that story. Also, you’ve made no secret of the fact that you admire Mel( anti-everything..but especially Jews and women.).
