roaming_kate23There is a certain YouTube personality..I’ll call her “Karen”* who has been making a name for herself as of late.
*points at subject line* she’s probably got Google alerts for her name and for all of the people that she targets..but I’ll get to that presently. This person’s name has become a byword for “full of shit”. YouTube HATES her, and with good reason.She has been sued multiple times and gotten MANY cease and desists but does she stop?Of course she doesn’t. One of her lawsuits is from a reality TV show personality. Neither here nor there about this person, but “Karen” has almost as big of a hate boner for this person as she does some of her other targets(and she has quite a few of them.)
IF there is an upside to this it is that more people are speaking up and speaking the truth and spreading the news that “Karen” is not someone to be trusted.Ever.
One of her biggest targets is the Duggars, and whilst I don’t like the Duggars, the hate boner that “Karen” has for the Duggars is unhealthy. We’re never really going to get a satisfactory resolution to the Duggar messiness and most of us have resigned ourselves to that fact.Not “Karen”. If anything, she has doubled down and gotten worse ,especially over the last week or two.
So:There is a dance troupe who are active in the L.A. area. One of the dancer’s families has been convinced by “Karen” that the dance troupe is also a cult and has furnished all sorts of “Facts” to back up what she is saying. Thing is, those facts are..circumstantial at best. “Karen” is well known for making things up and stating them as fact.(that is why she has had….legal issues)
The mere fact that the dancer’s parents are aligning themselves with “Karen” speaks volumes about them, in my opinion. She is a grown ass woman and can do what she wants. I don’t see any proof of anything bad going on or the dance troupe being a front for a cult.
I give the dance troupe a ton of credit:They have been(not so subtly) clapping back at “Karen” online. They have a social media account that has a similar name to “Karen”’s YouTube account .Well, it made me LOL anyways.
“Karen” thrives on the attention that she gets, even if it’s people telling her she is wrong(her response is to block them from her YouTube chats..”Karen” is notorious for doing this.That’s not in a good way, either.
