Jul. 10th, 2025 06:33 amCarnival is coming under fire because they are instituting new rules that the African American community think is racist. However, for as many people saying that they are racist,there are plenty of people saying that they get where Carnival are coming from. I’m in the “I get it camp”…there are plenty of NON people of colour that are out there wilding too,let’s be real.
The things they banned that are an issue/alleged profiling:
No marijuana smoking(fair enough. There is a time and place for smoking pot. On a cruise ship is not one of them.)
Bluetooth speakers:People blasting them at the pool..well,I could see the issue with that. That leads into:
Banning rap and hip hop.:If Carnival are TRULY trying to be “family friendly” then,good. *and* I like hip hop but I’m not blasting it for everyone to hear.
Curfew for kids under 18.Now,you occasionally hear stories about roving packs of kids on cruise ships(which is why some(especially on HAL) are so against kids being on their ships.
