[Filet O Fish -the OG🐟]
Apr. 1st, 2025 07:21 amThis time of year all of the fast food places have their fish sandwiches for Lent. There is the Filet O Fish of course.I know I’ve had others but it’s been a minute.HowEVER..I can confirm that Popeye’s has a good fish sandwich -it has a little spice in it.LOVE.
I have always loved fish.It started when I was a little kid. When my parents adopted me I had GERD.Freaking out because they worried that it wouldn’t go away. But the doctor assured my mom that it would.Sure enough it did.
When I was older my parents were gifted an octopus that a friend of the family had caught. The rest of the family weren’t sure if they liked it, but then there was me- who LOVED it.I also would have the option, at preschool to have peanut butter and jelly or tuna fish. Most of the time I was a peanut butter and jelly girl but once in a while I would have tuna fish.At the age of 3 and 4 years old I had a VERY refined palate! Still do, at the age of 54 years old!
Another thing that we had on the regular was Van De Kamp’s fish sticks. A lot of our Meals On Wheels people-in the early going-would get an alternate meal because they grew up eating fresh water fish with a lot of bones. I have the same thing but it’s because of fish sticks! I have had fish from the grocery store that had bones in it-somehow-very umappetising.
