[I would sue if my videos were used]
Tuesday, 25 March 2025 11:53I am always getting these videos on my Facebook reels of honour walks-people who are donating their organs
The problem being that they’re FAKE. They cobble together a bunch of different videos-steal them from the original content creator(s) and make up the saddest story EVER.
The one that I see all the time is a little boy who is crying because he is meeting his new sister..but the mom died giving birth to her.And it’s a different name-sometimes it’s “Finks”(who names their kid that?) other times it’s “James”.
They also had a video with a little boy named “Ethan”..but “Ethan” was wearing a bow in their hair.So not a little boy. They deliberately get videos which are of different people-but there are some commonalities -I’ve seen the same people in the same videos and they always have the same sad music and someone sobbing. Which is cut from one of the videos and repurposed too.
The woman who had the video of her son crying(and making it seem like she died having the sister) is alive and well and NOT happy that it was misrepresented.
BUT..you want to know the worst thing about all of this?Several people have reported the page that the videos are on ..Facebook does not consider them a violation of their rules. “What the fuck?” does not even begin to cover it. I know from personal experience when you complain about something on Facebook nothing gets done. I’ve had to do so several times .
