[Every big city has ‘em]

Those places that everyone wonders why the hell they are so popular.San Diego has quite a few.Places that have cruised along on their mediocrity for many years. Acclaimed?Maybe more in their owns minds. Another HUGE red flag for me is when the owners respond with the same comments over and over again or are very defensive .

There is a place in my neighbourhood(which has new management) which was and is VERY mediocre.The previous owner didn’t like anyone talking bad about his restaurant.It was always the same comments .And to be fair they WERE very valid points,about service,food quality and waitstaff (and he hired some really incompetent people, let me tell you.)
