[Storytime: Dumb punishments]
Mar. 17th, 2024 11:54 amWhen I was in 8th Grade i had to do what was called in-school suspension. Basically what it was was sitting was a glorified broom closet. What I did wasn’t even that bad:Not calling in to tell them I was not going to be at school.Yeah.Totally disproportionate to what I did.
The principal had a reputation for using a paddle on kids(and mind you this is California not Texas or somewhere like that.) I was told how serious it was .Uh, yeah.
A better use of out time would have been to have me do the Catholic thing that my niece had to do(not a punishment but they did it because it’s Oklahoma and they are old school like that.)
The Catholic thing is laying on the floor., face down, with your arms out(that sounded a lot dirtier than it is.) Depending on if they checked on you or not , you could take a nap,lol.
