[The definition of “it’s complicated”]
Feb. 19th, 2024 10:35 am Not going to weight in on my personal opinion about what is going on in the Middle East because I *do* have opinions about it but I would prefer to keep them to myself For my dad though it’s a little more nuanced. He lived in Israel several times(the company he worked for back in the day did a lot of buisness with the Israeli Air Force.)
A movie that I would recommend and it shows up on a LOT of lists of films that are must watches to understand the conflict is Waltz With Bashir. It is an animated movie band is based on a true story(the filmmaker ,Ari Folman fought in the Israeli-Lebanon war in the early 80’s. It’s best to not know much beforehand(and the ending is a fucking gut punch.)
